Project: Classroom Renovations
Drexel Hill, PA
In 2009, Pine Street Carpenters renovated two classrooms for Saint Andrew School in Drexel Hill, PA. The original school building dates back to 1921, and two of its classrooms were remodeled for new computer and science labs for the school. The renovations also included the addition of a secure server room for the computer lab. The renovations included substantial demolition work; new drywall; installation of VCT flooring; new energy efficient florescent lighting; a new drop ceiling; and trim work. The computer lab was wired to accommodate 28 computer systems, Smart Board technology, and a digital projector, helping to transform a nearly century-old space into a modern classroom equipped for today's learning environment.
